Super nice site. I just picked up a Mathes Cooler Fan Model 544 box fan today, it runs well and I love it. Does anyone know what year this Model was made?

In December we purchased a very nice Magnavox console with radio and record player at a Consignment store. You had the very same unit pictured on your site! It is from 1967 and oak finish. Owner took really good care of it, and everything came with it--owner's manual and even an extra cartridge for the record player. Sounds good and is similar to one we purchased in 1965. Really enjoyed looking at all the pictures you have and sure brought back a lot of memories. We have an old upright radio (Airline) may be from the 30's a family piece that no longer works. Just love those old pieces--well built! It was great to find some much information! Thank you.

Wonderful site. Although I am 67 years old and considered myself to know lots about electronics I never knew the CM sets were made in Athens, L little over 100 miles from my home in Waco, TX. I used to work for a electronics parts house and delivered lots of parts of a CM shop in Waco. I used to wee those beautiful sets every time. Really great looking sets.
