Curtis Mathes Stereo "The Marquis" Model 40M253

The photos below are of Patty's Curtis Mathes Stereo "The Marquis" Model 40M253 Phonograph/Radio/4-Track Tape Recorder Console with the original brochure and store and finance receipts--there are even used and unused tapes...in wonderful condition. Patty's  parents took care of it since they purchased it for Patty's mother's birthday in 1966.

Check out these wonderful double speakers on each side of this stereo.

You can see the wonderful woodwork in this made in Texas beauty.

The photo below shows the awesome turntable and reel to reel.

My Dad bought my mom a brand new 1966 The Marquis when i was born... i was raised on that thing,,, and even a few bite marks in the legs from when i was a wee lad,, my mother would use the Reel to Reel to record the family playing Guitars... many fond memories,, i am looking for one,, the sound was great.. i remember moving that thing.. they were built to last,, the weight of a small car...lol.. i am looking high and low for one...
