Here in the awesome photo above and the four photos below is Gino Perrine wonderful Curtis Mathes Projection Television, model number G531R, manufactured in 1982.
It has a serial number of 04891890 and a chassis of C83-2.
This is truly a remarkable find, and what a great color picture, these wonderful projection TV's are getting hard to find and very rare for collectors.
Thank you for sharing Gino.
Here is a quote from Carl Anderson "The projection TV images in this site are legally bought and relabeled. Panasonic TVs model #CT 6000. Curtis Mathes built a larger set later with and stand corrected a 82 inch screen with KLOSS sealed Schmidt cathode ray systems (3 rgb)"
Thank you Carl.
Generally these sold for around $3,000.00 back in the 1970's and were very expensive for that day.
It opens up in the front and has a mirror that the lights reflect off of. It's pretty big too, and very cool and retro.
These old girls are so very rare these days I would hate to venture to guess at the value to a collector for one this nice, but she would be into the thousand of dollars if she is in perfect working conditions and mint like this one.
